EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (EAP)

EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (EAP)

An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a free and confidential counselling service offered by employers to their employees to support their well-being in the workplace and in their personal lives. Counselling is an opportunity for an employee to have a confidential conversation with an experienced counsellor. It is a time to talk freely, to discuss strategies, develop skills & gain information & advice to improve well-being & life satisfaction.

Is the EAP Confidential?

Yes it is! From the moment you make contact, confidentiality is assured! You can call us knowing that your privacy is guaranteed. Your employer will not know who in their organisation has accessed the EAP program.

Why might one need to access the EAP?

The EAP is available to give assistance for work-related and personal issues such as:

  • difficulty with change
  • anxiety or depression
  • relationship issues, separation and divorce
  • work overload or stress
  • interpersonal conflict at work
  • bullying and harassment
  • parenting and step-parenting issues
  • grief and loss
  • work and family life balance
  • substance abuse or gambling problems
  • domestic violence
  • anger management

Who pays for the EAP service?

If your employer has an EAP agreement with Psychcare Psychology, your employer will pay for  the agreed number of sessions per employee per calendar year. At the end of your last available EAP session, your counsellor can discuss with you options for further counselling or support if needed.

How do I make an EAP counselling appointment at PsychCare Psychology?

If your employer has an EAP agreement with Psychcare Psychology,  you can make a confidential appointment directly with PsychCare Psychology by telephoning our EAP direct line on 07 3812 9001 or by clicking the contact us button below.  Simply provide some basic details about yourself and your employer and we will offer you an appointment with a counsellor at a convenient location or by telephone.
